Repair in progress — updated with photos as the work gets done.
The symptom
On power-up, the Wells-Gardner G07 snaps the image hard to the left. After a few power cycles it will sometimes lock in and hold correctly, but from a cold boot it is inconsistent.

What I have tried so far
Adjusting the horizontal frequency (H. FREQ) pot and moving the horizontal centering jumper improves the stability — the picture holds correctly more often — but it does not fully cure the snap-to-left on reboot. That points at the chassis itself rather than a simple adjustment: aging components in the horizontal section and marginal connections are the likely culprits.
Getting to the chassis
The monitor tilts out of the cabinet on its mount for access, and the G07 chassis comes out for the bench work.

The plan
Rather than chase it one part at a time, the G07 is getting a full going-through:
- Full recap — replace the electrolytic capacitors across the chassis to rule out drifting or failing caps in the horizontal and power sections.
- Replace all the pots — the original adjustment pots are worn; new ones give stable, repeatable adjustments.
- Correct the flyback wire routing — the focus wire was not routed correctly and was left too long. Rerouting it cleanly and to the proper length.
- Repin the chassis connectors — repin all the connectors between the main board and the G07 chassis for solid, reliable connections (a classic source of intermittent display faults).

Result
To be updated once the chassis is back in and tested from a cold boot.
